The dance-pop anomaly
Look at the catalog share for dance-pop: it is sitting at exactly zero percent in our broader tracking, yet it represents 16.7% of our scout pool this week with 8 artists clearing the score 80 bar. This is a classic leading indicator. When a genre has zero legacy footprint in your catalog but commands the highest share of high-potential talent, the platform is telling you where the immediate heat is moving.
R&B is officially over-indexing
Contemporary R&B is proving its efficiency. While it makes up 9.6% of the wider catalog, it captures 16.7% of the scout pool. That gives it a 1.74x over-index ratio, making it the most statistically efficient genre for finding high-potential artists right now. We also see soul, hip-hop, and trap holding 4 artists each in this elite tier.
The high-score bottleneck
